School

School

School on S&T mechanics, metallurgy & green processing.

June 30-July 02, 2025, AGH University of Krakow, Poland. Green Castings manufacturing is an objective that must be supported by excellent science and adopted by all foundries/industries with a view to reducing the environmental impact of product and production processes. With increasingly stringent environmental regulations, there is a growing need for efficient production planning models that consider the trade-off between technology return and environmental costs.

Lightweighting casting innovations: Green Processes in Foundry 4.0 practice of Light-Weight Castings

July 03-04, 2025, AGH University of Krakow, Poland. The European strategy toward reducing CO2 emissions is leading to a growing demand for lightweighting across industries, especially these days for the automotive industry and electric vehicles. To reach these goals, development and use of materials that have a higher strength-to-weight ratio, while staying cost-efficient in production, compared to the ones currently used is a necessity.
