Network Partners Meeting – leaders of the foundry industry met at AGH University of Krakow!

On February 20, 2026, the Faculty of Foundry Engineering at AGH University of Krakow hosted the NetCastPL4.0 project’s Network Partners Meeting, attended by 45 representatives from 30 member institutions and two members of the External Advisory Board. Participants included representatives from industry and science from Poland, Finland, and Italy.
During the meeting invited speakers, included N. Gramegna (SINFONET), K. Jalava (Aalto University), W. Roszczynialski (AGH University of Krakow), M. Favaro (CNR-ICMATE), M. Kołodziejski (AGH University of Krakow), and M. Górny (AGH University of Krakow), delivered presentations.

Project research results were presented and discussions were held on effective methods for transferring knowledge and technology to industry. SINFONET shared their experience in implementing innovative solutions in foundry sector. Organisational aspects and the thematic scope of the “School on Perspective & Business”, scheduled for June 25–26, 2026, were also presented.

Participants were introduced to EU funding instruments and opportunities for international entrepreneur exchange within the framework of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs.
A key element of the meeting was a discussion and exchange forum addressing regulatory challenges and the future of the foundry sector in Europe.
The need to strengthen cooperation between science and industry, develop a common industry position on EU policies, and ensure stable conditions for business development was emphasised. The meeting confirmed the commitment of partners to further integration and the joint development of modern foundry practices across Europe.
We would like to thank the representatives of Polish and international institutions, including the President of the World Foundry Organisation, the President of SINFONET, the Vice-President of Assofond and the representative of foundries for sharing their experiences and insights during the exchange forum.
