NetCastPL4.0 Participated in the 13th Science Festival in Starachowice

On June 2, 2026, the 13th Science Festival took place at the Museum of Nature and Technology “Ecomuseum” in Starachowice. The event was dedicated to children and young people from primary and secondary schools across the Starachowice District.
The festival aimed to promote science through interactive demonstrations, experiments and workshops, providing participants with an accessible introduction to topics in natural sciences, engineering and technology. This year’s edition brought together universities and research institutions from across Poland, showcasing a wide range of contemporary scientific and technological achievements.

The Museum of Nature and Technology, which hosted the event, is a place of particular importance to the history of the Polish iron and foundry industries. Its grounds are home to a historic blast furnace dating back to 1899, together with its preserved technological production line.
For this reason, the NetCastPL4.0 project, together with the Faculty of Foundry Engineering at AGH University of Krakow, organised workshops dedicated to modern foundry technologies. Participants had the opportunity to make sand moulds by hand, solve foundry-themed puzzles and take part in educational games.
Participating in the Science Festival provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate the results of the NetCastPL4.0 project and raise awareness of sustainable development in modern foundry engineering.

In recognition of their commitment to preparing the workshops and their contribution to science outreach, representatives of the AGH Faculty of Foundry Engineering and the NetCastPL4.0 project received an official certificate of appreciation and thanks from the event organisers.
