NetCastPL4.0 at the FOCAST Foundry Salon during ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE 2025 in Poznań

Between 3 and 6 June 2025, latest edition of ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE – one of the largest industrial events in Central and Eastern Europe – took place in Poznań. This year’s fair brought together leading figures from the industrial sector, representatives of universities, research institutions, and companies implementing cutting-edge solutions aligned with the Industry 4.0 concept.

An integral part of the event was the FOCAST Foundry Salon, entirely dedicated to the foundry industry. It served as a key platform for showcasing innovative technological, material and manufacturing solutions applied in modern metal casting.

Among the exhibitors, the NetCastPL4.0 project was proudly represented in collaboration with the Faculty of Foundry Engineering and the AGH University of Kraków at stand no. 87, located in Hall 5A.

During the event, the objectives, scope and current outcomes of the NetCastPL4.0 project were presented. Project representatives – Marcin Górny, Dominika Przygodzka, and Natalia Mordyl – engaged with visitors to discuss potential forms of cooperation and the benefits arising from participation in NetCastPL4.0.

A particularly important highlight of the fair was the presentation by Prof. Marcin Górny, Dean of the Faculty of Foundry Engineering at AGH University, who introduced the faculty’s current educational offer and emphasised the role of NetCastPL4.0 in strengthening the synergy between science and industry.

The opening day of the trade fair featured a discussion panel entitled “The Future of Foundry: Visions for the Development of the Polish Foundry Industry in the Context of Global Megatrends.” The panel brought together national and international representatives from the industrial, academic and research sectors. The speakers included, among others: Rafał Dańko, Krzysztof Sikora, Carsten Kuhlgatz, and Tunçağ Cihangir Şen.

Participation in ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE and the FOCAST Salon provided the NetCastPL4.0 team with an excellent opportunity not only to present the project’s achievements to a wide audience, but also to establish new partnerships and strengthen existing collaboration within the industrial-academic ecosystem.

We sincerely thank the organisers of the FOCAST Salon for their invitation and all the visitors to our stand for their interest and engagement.
